Shahada assembly election results reflect the intensely competitive tribal politics of the Nandurbar district in Maharashtra. Located in the Nandurbar district, Shahada is a reserved Scheduled Tribe (ST) assembly seat falling under the Nandurbar Lok Sabha constituency. The seat has alternated between INC and BJP across elections INC’s Padmakar Vijaysing Valvi won in 2009, before BJP’s Padvi Udesing Kocharu captured it in 2014 by a razor-thin margin of just 719 votes.

BJP’s Rajesh Udesing Padvi, a retired police officer, then won convincingly in 2019 and went on to increase his margin dramatically in the 2024 Maharashtra assembly election, winning by 53,204 votes one of the largest margins in Nandurbar district. The Shahada assembly election 2024 was held on 20 November 2024 as part of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections 2024. Results were declared on 23 November 2024. The election was held with a voter turnout of 67.60%.

Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Rajesh Udesing Padvi won the Shahada MLA seat with 1,46,839 votes, defeating Indian National Congress candidate Rajendrakumar Gavit who secured 93,635 votes. The winning margin in Shahada 2024 was a commanding 53,204 votes — a massive improvement over his 2019 margin of 7,991 votes. Only 4 candidates contested in 2024 including NOTA.
